Keyboard Shortcut – Adobe Reader
Apr 2nd, 2008 by Geaked

Here’s another useful keyboard shortcut for when you use Adobe Reader.  I get quite a few scanned documents emailed to me at work.  The problem is not everyone scans their documents the same way, or uses the same means to scan.  So I invariably get a few horizontally challenged papers when the program opens up.  Instead of tilting my head 90 degrees or having to click through the tool bar to find the ‘rotate clockwise’ or ‘counter clockwise’ (of which i always choose the wrong one adding even more clicks), I now use the CTRL plus SHIFT plus (-) or (+) to whip it ’round.  Furthermore you can use CTRL plus (+) to magnify your document (or CTRL plus (-) to reduce the size).

Excel Keyboard Shortcut

I love keyboard shortcuts, especially when it comes to my work.  I learned a couple of new ones this week.  I’ll describe them in individual posts.

I have an Excel workbook that contains 20 tabs.  I use this workbook on a regular basis and it involves going back and forth between tabs.  There’s a point when this many tabs start to disappear behind the horizontal scroll bar.  Well there just happens to be a quick way to move through your tabs without having to use the scroll bar or having to click on each tab.  Simply use CTRL + page up (or page down) to whisk your way to muti-tab heaven.  This is also handy when you need to visually scan the data as you move from sheet to sheet, since you don’t have to take your eyes off the page to look at the scroll bar or tabs.
