I came across this little ditty tonight and thought I’d give it a go. The WordPress “Business Directory” plugin allows readers to add their Blog, Business, or Organization to the Directory of Love page here at Geakz.com – for free. The only ‘cost’ is a link back here from your own site. That’s it.
Click on the “add your site” tab above and after I verify that you’ve linked back to my site, I’ll approve your info and you will be forever immortalized on Geakz.com. It’s like Link Love, but with the ability for you to customize by adding your own details. Future visitors can check the “Directory of Love” page to view or search through the directory. Remember: It pays to advertise. At least it doesn’t hurt. Now go spread the love.

I was in the process of signing up over at MediaMax for their FREE 25GB of online storage, when I got the following error:

Insufficient system storage. The server response was: 4.3.1 Out of memory

(I actually feel like that some days.)

But after some poking around and landing on their blog, I see they are changing names to The Linkup.

From the MediaMax Blog:

Current non-paying users: If you are not currently a paying subscriber to MediaMax, you need to upgrade your account before April 25 to be included in the move. Otherwise, your account will be deleted and all your files will be lost.

So why the cryptic error message for new accounts at MediaMax? And why no heads up on their website? I’m sure they’ve contacted current users via email, but that doesn’t help new subscribers. Current “free” account users: if you’re not paying attention you’re going to lose all your files if you don’t migrate now.
