Cuil Mail In The Future?

I cruelly joked on Twitter, that I had invites for Cuil Mail.  Then I decided to snoop-out http://mail.cuil.com and found the page to load with a small, simple “hi.”

I wanted to say “hi” back, thinking that my friendly vibe would open the secret Cuil door that would lead me to fame and fortune, but I couldn’t find the comment section.

Apparently they haven’t indexed their own subdomains, as mail.cuil.com did not render any search findings.  Knowing this should help others ease the pain of not seeing their blogs indexed as of this writing.

You heard it here first, possibly!

  • Quite interesting actually ! They look like a serious to competitor to Google - or so they seem to be because the founders are ex-googlers.

Cuil needs a lot of time to mature to get to the poit where the results are relevant. So I am going to hang on to Google in the mean while.

If if Cuil mail ever goes public, I'll be there to claim my username first and then decide if it's good enough for me.
Until then - you've got my current address eh ! ;)
  • Hey Jaffer: Agreed on all fronts. Time will tell. I'll have to snag all 71 of my user names when they do, since I have split personalities and *everyone* wants their own. Later! -BigNerd
  • I've found that http://mail.cuil.com/mail revels their mail client software and admin software. I just did some random folder guessing and sure enough, it was simply "mail". Have fun guessing the username and password!
