Bright Orange Feathered Friend
May 12th, 2008 by Geaked

I saw one of these last year at this time.  It was the first one I had ever seen outside of a book.  This year I got a closer look at a Baltimore Oriole.  It was obviously infatuated with it’s reflection in our picture window, as it stayed long enough for me to snap this shot.

I hope he stays around!

@babs – Glad you liked! The photo doesn’t do it justice. Like most things in nature, it’s hard to capture what the eye sees and also convey the feelings of awe and surprise.

That bird is beautiful! Its color is so stunning and the feathers look like fur! Cool. Glad you got the shot.

Kathy: I was hoping for an even better shot. This bird was amazing – especially in flight. Not the smartest avian on the block, but hey, I’ll take it over a turkey vulture dining on road kill any day.
