Why is it that even today, truck manufacturers must decal the sides of a pickup truck with “4×4” or “4×4 Off Road“.

Like we didn’t know that your 42″ knobby tires and four foot ground clearance, coupled with the Yosemite Sam mud flaps, proclaimed the Four-Runner cheer of “Yeeee HAAA!” This, plus the fact that you feel obligated to do dirt road donuts at each intersection while pitching ‘ho-shot’ onto everyone’s front yard. More often than not there’s no one to see you, but that’s O.K., your mullet looks good in the rear view mirror, doesn’t it?
