I’ve switched my browser over to FireFox. I found Portable FireFox (and Portable Thunderbird) which are scaled down versions able to be run from a thumb drive ( removable USB ). This allows me to carry all of my browser settings, skins, extensions, address book, etc., with me from computer to computer. The thing I like about Firefox is the ability to scale functionality with a large array of available extensions.
I discovered an extension called JustBlogIt that adds a right click menu option, that once configured, opens a new window to your blogging program. It then copies the URL and any text you have highlighted. It’s a small, simple program that does what it says. I’m using it in this post for the first time. The info in blog quotes below was captured from their website. If you blog, and use FireFox (won’t work in I.E.), go check it out.
…more importantly, JustBlogIt supports seamless posting from within many web-based News Readers. JustBlogIt checks to see if you are trying to post from a News Reader and adapts the blogging data accordingly.
